Contracting

Contracting is an important facet of both consulting and coaching. Whether it is at the start of a relationship or continuously throughout, contracting ensures both sides are on the same page about goals, expectations, and boundaries. 

Since focusing on using contracting in my daily work meetings, I’ve seen positive results. The most consistent benefit is when using it at the start of the meeting about what we want to accomplish ensures alignment and more effective use of time. It also has to lead people organically checking during conversations if we are on the right track or not.
